First loss for Salgaocar

MARGAO: Salgaocar goalkeeper Raghuvir Khanolkar’s error in the 56th minute helped Churchill Brothers win 1-0 in the Director’s Special Goa Professional Football league at the Nehru Stadium on Sunday.

Khanolkar charged forward when Churchill medio Mario Soares lobbed the ball into the box, but failed to grab the ball, which deflected off defender Osumanu Husseni and went to striker Francis Silveira to find the net.
