Fashionistas the world over are making style statements with accordion pleats. From floor-grazing accordion-pleat dresses, to accordion-pleated skirts, one has many options to choose from.
8220;Accordion pleats only look nice on satin and silk. They are very feminine and give movement to the material,8221; says designer Nikasha Tawadey. Sarah Jessica Parker, Liv Tyler and Kristin Davis have been spotted wearing accordion pleats. Designers such as Carmen Mark Valvo, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein have included the pleats in their collection in the form of short skirts, gowns and dresses. 8220;Accordion pleats can be worn in the form of a dress in the evening and an accordion pleat top can be worn with a pair of your favourite jeans during the day,8221; says Tawadey.
