CHENNAI, Nov 5: The off-take of IMFL from the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) had increased by over Rs 40 crore thanks to the State Prohibition Enforcement Wing stepping up pressure through intensive checks to prevent the flow of illicit liquor. In the last couple of months, over 50,000 cases have been registerd by the PEW personnel and several vehicles transporting illicit liquor or those evading excise have been seized.
