IIM-A fees hiked to Rs 11 lakh

The 186th meeting of the IIM-A Board of Governors, that coincided with the 43rd convocation ceremony on Saturday, decided to charge a fee of Rs 5.50 lakh for the first year of the flagship Post Graduate Programme and Rs 6 lakh for the second year. This takes the fee for the entire course to Rs 11.50 lakh, up from the existing Rs 4.5-5 lakh. The hike will be applicable for the batch joining this year.

The move is expected to be resisted by both the Ministry and the Gujarat Government, which has a nominee on the IIM-A board.
