8220;Sneha, you better stir yourself a bit, and take care of Mugdha she8217;s my sister, will you? I have to go to Bombay for the weekend for important business meetings and it is really very important,8221; said Mummy and with that she picked up her handbag and her purse and walked out of the door.

I had to take care of Mugdha. She was only seven years old then. In the evening on Friday we locked up the house and went to play. After coming we ate dinner and slept. The next morning we woke up and brushed our teeth and took a bath. Then we had breakfast and after sometime Mugdha told me that her hands and legs were paining and she was not feeling well.

First I thought that Mugdha was just joking but then, when I checked with the thermometer I found out that she had fever. I was quite frightened. I did not know which medicine was to be given.

I could not even go to call the doctor, as I had to attend my sister. Then I rang up the doctor but the phone was engaged. Then after sometime I thought of an idea.

I called my neighbour. The aunty came and waited with my sister till I went on my bike to call the doctor.

When I reached the doctor8217;s dispensary he was not there and after five minutes he came. He came to my house on his scooter. He checked my sister and told me to go and buy some medicine. I went to the medical stores and bought the medicines with the money my mother had given me for emergency needs.

I went home and gave my sister the medicines according to the doctor8217;s orders. At night my sister was feeling quite well. In the morning when we woke up, I again checked Mugdha8217;s temperature and was happy to find her quite well. On Sunday afternoon when we were about to go to sleep, someone knocked at the door and when I opened I was happy to see my mother at the door. When she came in I told her all that had happened and she was very pleased with me and said, 8220;All you have done is right. So now I can often leave you with Mugdha alone.8221;
