Holders Arsenal will visit either Liverpool or Portsmouth in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup following the draw made on Monday. Liverpool were the last team to beat Arsenal in the competition when they came from behind to edge them 2-1 in the 2001 final at Cardiff. Arsenal have won the Cup twice since then.

Liverpool drew 1-1 with Portsmouth at the weekend and the two sides will replay next Sunday.

Manchester United, looking to win the Cup for the first time since 1999, will play either Fulham or West Ham at Old Trafford, while at least one lower division team is guaranteed a place in the semifinals with first division Millwall drawn at home against second division Tranmere.

If Birmingham City overcome Sunderland in their fifth round replay, they will meet first division Sheffield United, beaten by Arsenal in the semifinals last season.

The matches will take place on the weekend of March 6-7.
