NOIDA, JAN 7: Ramesh Thakur, the hitman of the Nazim gang, who was arrested by the Noida police on Monday after a shoot-out, has disclosed that a Meerut-based Samajwadi Party leader is behind the killing of former Uttar Pradesh minister Bramha Dutta Dwivedi.
Thakur is also wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI for Dwivedi8217;s murder. The CBI officials yesterday obtained the details of his interrogation from the Noida police.
According to sources, Thakur has named a number of politicians, including a Meerut-based SP leader who had acted as a link between the political functionaries, who wanted Dwivedi dead.
