Hindalco Ind posted a net profit of Rs 1,077 crore for Q4 ended March 31, against Rs 721.3 crore in the same quarter last year. Q4 sales and operating revenue stood at Rs 5,010.2 crore, compared to Rs 4,784.9 crore last year. For the year ended March 31, the company reported a net profit of Rs 2,860.9 crore, against Rs 2,564.3 crore last year. MTNL records 8.5% profit riseMumbai: Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) announced a net profit of Rs 219.93 crore for Q4 ended March 31, a growth of 8.51 per cent over the same period last year. IOB annual profit increases by a fifthChennai: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) reported a year-on-year growth of 24.62 per cent. The bank’s total business grew to Rs 1,45,383.17 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008, from Rs 1,16,663.07 crore for the corresponding period last year. The bank’s net profit increased by 19.23 per cent to Rs 1,202.34 crore for the year from Rs 1,008.43 crore last year.
