The shouts of ‘hip hip hurray’ reverbrated right to the other end of the ground even as Yuvraj made up for no champagne in the dressing room by spraying water on all teammates from a hot water bag.

Zaheer and Dhoni exchanged high-fives and then did a bit of chest-butting, Lee-Hesh style.

Suresh Raina, the man who hit the winning shot, was delayed on his way back in by the ubiquitous pitchside TV interview. But he came back with a prized stump and that souvenir was first into his kit bag, ahead even of his pads and bats.
