Wrestlers from Haryana planning to make some quick bucks by acting as musclemen for Delhi politicos will be literally confined to their ‘akharas’ on Saturday when the national capital goes for Assembly polls.

The grapplers have been asked by Haryana administration to be present at their ‘akharas’ (practising ground) on the D-Day, in an effort to prevent them from going to the capital and “help” politicians in creating trouble in the capital.

The action came in the backdrop of a request from Delhi Police to their Haryana counterparts to ensure an incident- free election in the capital.

“Wrestlers will have to be compulsory present at their akharas. We had requested the Haryana administration to ensure that wrestlers will not cross to the capital,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnal Singh said.
