England pace bowler Steve Harmison has ruled himself out of November8217;s controversial tour of Zimbabwe.

Harmison said he had decided to boycott the trip for political and sporting reasons.

8220;In all honesty my decision was made in Cape Town over 18months ago when England8217;s World Cup squad spent an horrendous four days before finally deciding not to go to Harare,8221; Harmison told English tabloid the News of the World on Sunday.

8220;Nothing has changed for me. The situation there is worse now 8212; that8217;s what the official reports say 8212; and Zimbabwe8217;s top players have been sacked.

8220;Being a personal decision, I realise I could be the only player who does not go. I8217;ll respect what everyone else decides but I hope my refusal is not held against me.

8220;I8217;m grateful the ECB said that not touring will not be held against any player.8221;

November8217;s series consists of five one-dayers and no Tests.
