Hamas militants fired a home-made Qassam rocket into southern Israel early on Wednesday after an overnight Israeli strike in Gaza City killed seven people, including three members of the radical Islamic movement.
The rocket landed in the southern Israeli town of Sderot. No one was hurt in the strike, Israeli Army Radio said. The strike came hours after Israeli war planes and attack helicopters killed seven people in a missile attack in Gaza City, including Hamas militant leader Saad Al-Arabid, two of his lieutenants and four others.
