IPOH (MALAYSIA), MARCH 5: Germany powered into the final of the Azlan Shah Cup today after beating chief rivals Australia 5-3.The Australians, top of the standings before play started, will play South Korea tomorrow to decide which of the two will meet Germany in the final.The Germans top the standings in the six-nation tournament with 10 points from four games followed by Australia with nine and South Korea seven. A quick goal by Australia's Matthew Smith within the first minute rattled Germany, who replied in the 13th through Oliver Domke. But Australia scored two more goals before half-time through Adam Commens in the 23rd minute and James Elmer in the 31st.The Germans were more composed after the break and proceeded to demolish the Australian defence with four goals, three in space of five minutes. Christoph Eimer struck the board in the 37th minute, followed by Christian Blunch in the 48th, Marc Schreiber in the 51st and Philipp Crone in the 53rd.In another match, New Zealand surprisedEngland with a 5-4 win, their first of the tournament.
