KUALA LUMPUR, June 19: France scored twice in the first two minutes to wrap up a comfortable 4-2 victory over South Korea in the World Youth Football Championships today.

Ghana fought back to hold China to a 1-1 draw In Group C at Alor Setar, while Uruguary handed hosts Malaysia their second successive 1-3 defeat in Group A at Shah Alam.

The French, stung by the 0-3 loss to Brazil in Tuesday’s Group B opener at kuching, hit back with a vengence as captain Thierry Henry scored a first-minute goal and David Trezequet made it 2-0 in the second.

Thierry struck again in the 10th minute and Trezequet also scored his second goal seven minutes after the interval to give France a commanding 4-0 lead.The Koreans fought back through goals by Park Jin-Sup in the 54th and 69th minutes, but it was too little too late.

South Koreaface the unenviable task of beating Brazil on Sunday to stay alive in the under-20 tournament. France play South Africa on the same day.
