Freedom fighters felicitated

PUNE, August 12: As many as 20 freedom fighters in the city were felicitated by General Insurance Company to mark the conclusion of the golden jubilee celebrations of independence.

The freedom fighters were felicitated by former vice-chancellor of University of Pune V G Bhinde. An elocution competition for GIC employees was organised on the occasion in which Swati Nagaokar of New India Insurance Company and Dhirendrakumar Verma of Oriental Insurance Company stood first. Retired general manager of New India Insurance Company R. D. Samarth was the chief guest at the function.

Assistant general manager of New India Insurance Company M D Gadre, regional manager of United India Insurance Company P Y Karkera, regional manager National Insurance Company M K Dhar and regional manager of Oriental Insurance Company Satish Deshpande were present at the function.
