CHENNAI, July 31: Forty-five Tamil refugees, comprising 21 men, 13 women and 11 children arrived in two batches at the Rameswaram coast on Sri Lankan boats from Iluppaikadavai. They have been sent to the Mandapam refugee camp. Meanwhile, the labour minister, Rahman Khan met representatives of fishermen’s organisations and explained the steps taken by the Government to prevent the Sri Lankan forces from shooting innocent Indian fishermen who venture unknowingly into their waters.
