JD(U) MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh “Lallan”, the main complainant in the fodder scam cases against Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav has approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the reported “transfer” of Special Judge, CBI (AHD) Patna, Yogendra Prasad. The judge was hearing the disproportionate assets case against Laloo and his wife Rabri Devi.

The petition, filed yesterday, has not yet been listed for hearing yet.

Lallan claimed he came to know from a media report that the Patna High Court had passed the transfer order, even though trial against Laloo and Rabri was nearing conclusion. This, the petition alleged, had been done “taking advantage of the ongoing summer vacations, to overreach and present a fait accompli” to the SC and amounted to contempt of Supreme Court.”
