Five killed as militants attack van in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, JAN 6: Militants killed five people, including a woman, while security forces raided militant hideouts in the Kashmir Valley since last evening.

The four persons, including a woman, were killed and three others critically wounded when militants attacked a speeding matador at Kabamerg in Anantnag district yesterday, the spokesman said. Security forces recovered two pistols, an AK rifle, four hand grenades and a large quantity of ammunition from militant hideouts in parts of Kupwara and Srinagar districts, he said.
