As many as three cases of brawl were reported from the city on Diwali. In the first incident, two persons were arrested after they allegedly barged into a house in Manimajra and broke the window panes. The accused 8212; Deepak from Sector 26 and Karan from Shastri Colony 8212; allegedly attacked a vehicle and broke its window panes. A case under Sections 451, 323, 332, 353, 427 and 506 was registered with the Manimajra police station.

In another case, three persons were arrested following a brawl that occured in Indira Colony on the night of Diwali. The accused 8212; Lucky, Sonu and Lakhan 8212; were arrested for threatening and quarreling with the complainant.

In the third incident, four persons allegedly beat up two men in Colony number 4 on the same night. The victims, Ravi and Guddu, registered a case against the four accused 8212; Rakesh, Rama, Lala and Guru. No arrest was made till the time of filing the report.

Eight cases of burns reported on Diwali

AMBALA: As many as eight cases of burns were reported from the twin cities of Ambala on Diwali night. While a resident of Shivaji Colony, Ambala Cantonment, Navin Kumar, was injured after a firecracker blasted near his ear, two boys from Premnagar 8212; Prince and Lovely 8212; sustained burns on their faces. The others who sustained injuries in Ambala City include: Anil, Rajesh, Abhishek, Honey, Shubham, Monica and Aryan. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital where they were discharged after being administered first aid.
