After days of haggling between the Congress and the JD(S), Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh today came out with the list of portfolios allocated to the 10 ministers sworn in on Saturday.

While retaining a number of key portfolios with himself, Singh gave the Finance portfolio to Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramiah while senior Congress Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge has been given Water Resources and Transport.

Singh will be handling Cabinet Affairs, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Home, Excise from Finance Department and Civil Aviation among other responsibilities.

Senior JD(S) leader P.G.R. Sindhia got Large, Medium and Small Scale Industries and Infrastructure Department while another senior JD(S) leader, M.P. Prakash, has been allocated Revenue (excluding Muzarai, Wakf and Haj committee) and Parliamentary Affairs. D. Manjunath has been give Higher Education, while H.D. Revanna has been give Public Works and Energy Department.

Srinivas Gowda got the Agriculture portfolio while Mirajuddin Patel got Animal Husbandry and Wakf. Prakash Hukkeri has been allocated Agriculture Marketing. The only Minister of State Tanvir Sait has been given Labour and Haj portfolios.
