Faldo confident of good show

NEW DELHI, April 28: The Omega Tour’s inaugural Macau Open begins at Macau on Thursday. Among the heavyweights participating in the tournament are Nick Faldo and five-time US PGA winner Vijay Singh of Fiji. Gaurav Ghei, Vivek Bhandari and other Indians are also participating in the tournament.

Speaking at a press conference before the tournament, Faldo said he had been written off many times before in his career and that he was still physically and mentally strong enough to return to his winning ways.

"It’s as simple as that. I’m going through a low at the moment, but I’m not too worried about it and I’m just waiting for the wave to change direction," said Faldo who had won the Masters Open in 1996 at Georgia.
