Former Miss India, model and VJ Nafisa Joseph (25) was found dead late Thursday evening at her Khar (West) residence in suburban Mumbai.

She was rushed to Nanavati Hospital where she was declared dead on admission. The cause of death is not known. She was reportedly going to get married next month.

Nafisa won the Miss India title in 1997. Only 12 during her first ad campaign, Nafisa finished her schooling at Bishop Cotton School and St Joseph’s College, both in Bangalore. She also took an active interest in animal rights.
