Even Diwali is different under us, claims BJP

Our Diwali is better than theirs: this was the BJP’s message while comparing the state of the economy under the BJP and Congress regimes. BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said today: ‘‘It will be a buyer’s Diwali as we are witnessing a market of abundance. No shortages, no queues. Minimum wages have been raised. Purchasing power has increased. It will be a different Diwali for citizens, who had seen the festival during Congress-rule’’. He alleged the performance of Congress-ruled states was ‘‘miserable’’.

‘‘No sufficient potable water. Inadequate power. No action on dengue. A grim financial position,’’ he said.
