
It didn’t take the hosts long to wrap up the second Under-19 Test at Eden Gardens as the Ambati Rayudu-led Indians defeated the visitors by an innings and 106 runs to lead the three-match series 2-0.
England were 140 for 6 overnight still 123 runs behind the hosts when they began this morning. But the inexperienced side managed to add only 17 runs in 13.4 overs on the fourth morning for the loss of four wickets as they finished up with 157. The top-scorer yesterday was their captain, Steven Davies, who made 66 and put on 74 with Moeen Ali. But Ali fell to leg-spinner Piyush Chawla this morning after adding only five runs to his overnight 36.
