PUNE, June 26: An executive engineer of the Delhi Vidyut Board DVB was reportedly manhandled during a raid at a Karol Bagh hotel on Friday evening. According to Jagdish Kapoor, DVB spokesperson, the incident took place when a team of DVB officials went to check the hotels in the area with regard to the use of ACs during peak hours. 8220;At one of these hotels, we found that all the three meters had been tampered with. In collusion with the employees of adjoining hotels, they attacked our Executive Engineer R.K. Kachroo,8221; he said. DVB chairman Naveen Chawla condemned the incident, adding that FIRs had been registered for power theft.
