CHANDIGARH, April 15: UT Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Tejwinder Singh today convicted one Om Parkash for rash and negligent driving and released him on probation on a Rs 10,000 bond and surety of the like amount. the accused is to pay litigation cost of Rs 300 anto undergo simple imprisonment for seven days in case of default of payment of fine.

Om Parkash, a Haryana roadways driver, was booked here on August 16, 1997 on the cimplaint of Jaspal Singh , a CTU driver was driving his bus from Mansa Devi complex towards General bus stand when he stopped at at the a red light at the railway lines point.

At that point of time, it was alleged, Om Parkash who was driving a Haryana roadways bus, in a rash and negligent manner, hit his bus from behind thus inflicting damage. Following this, the complaint was lodged under Section 279 IPC.
