Salman finds no takers
It seems none of the actresses who8217;ve been approached to star opposite Salman Khan in the Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam remake are jumping at the offer with open arms. Kareena Kapoor didn8217;t seem too keen, Aishwarya Rai opted out the minute Salman8217;s name came up and Rani Mukherjee has asked for time to mull over the offer. The film8217;s producer Pritish Nandy is keen to have Saathiya director Shaad Ali helm the modern-day remake, but the young film-maker hasn8217;t committed yet either. Incidentally, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta also rumouredly turned down the second-heroine role in Salman8217;s Hollywood project, Marigold. Neither wanted to play second fiddle to a phirang leading lady. Interestingly enough, director Willard Carrol hasn8217;t been very successful in finding a Hollywood actress for the starring role either. The search, as they say, is still on.
