A resident doctor of Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in the national capital was on Wednesday found dead in his hostel room.
Navneet Prasad (27), a first year Post Graduate student at the department of Orthopaedics, was found dead this morning, a police official said.
Prasad was staying in the hostel in the Lady Hardinge Medical College, the official said, adding “his postmortem report is awaited to ascertain the cause of death.” “When Navneet did not respond to our usual phone calls today, we reached his room. He did not open the gate and we became suspicious. We then called the police,” another resident doctor said.
According to his friends, Prasad was last seen at 0100 hrs today.
