At 10 p.m. the family members began a frantic search and informed the police. But the police not only ignored the matter but also kept the desperate family members running from one police station to another in order to register a case. “It was only this morning that they have finally registered a case,” said a family member.

“Few minutes before 9 p.m., I spoke to him on the phone and he told me that he was about to leave for home,” said Suman Satija, the doctor’s sister. Then he spoke to his wife saying that he was leaving for home and would pick up some noddles from the market, she added.

Around 10.30 p.m., when his wife was trying to locate him called his mobile phone but the person who responded was not her husband. “Some one wanted to speak on his mobile but it appeared that there were a few other people in the back ground asking him not to respond to the call,” said Suman. After that the mobile was switched off, she added.

Later when the family contacted the SR mobile phone tower it was found that the call was made from the Ballabhgarh area. “SR has confirmed that the call was from Ballabhgarh,” said doctor’s elder brother D.P. Dhingra.
