
NEW DELHI, February 14: Haryana athlete Subhash won the 10,000m event, the longest race at the All India Civil Services Athletic Meet at the Haryana Agricultural University in Hissar, according to reports reaching here.
He won the race clocking 34.42 minutes by maintaining his lead with a good margin in all the laps of the track.
Pawan Dhanker of Madhya Pradesh finished the race in 34.53 minutes and got second place whereas P.Salvakumar of Chennai remained third clocking 35.29 minutes.
Dinesh Rawat of Delhi Central Secretariat bagged the gold in 200 metres race clocking 22.2 second while Saji Thomas of Chennai (22.7 second) and Rohtash Mann of Delhi Central Secretariat (23.01) finished second and third, respectively.
Arif Polo and Irfan enter semi-finals
The doubles pair of Arif Polo and Irfan of Zeeshan Club entered the semi-finals of carrom double in the inaugural Ashok Sharma memorial Delhi state carrom championship at Bengal Club.
