BHOPAL, May 25: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Sunderlal Patwa today criticised the Digvijay Singh government in the state for maintaining “silence” over Gujarat Government’s decision to dig a tunnel along the Narmada river under Sardar Sarovar project.
Patwa said there was no mention of tunnel in the Narmada award but Gujarat was going ahead with it and the Congress government in MP was keeping a “surprising silence”. He alleged that the tunnel construction would affect the availability of water to MP and demanded that the Chief Minister should make a public statement regarding the issue.
