Man dies in wall collapse
A 40-year-old man was killed when the wall of a house collapsed in Brijpuri area of Nandnagri on Tuesday afternoon. Three others were injured and were rushed to the G.T.B hospital.
Jaffruddin was declared dead in the G.T.B hospital. A portion of the wall of the room in which the four were reportedly sleeping in collapsed around 2.45 p.m. While three of them managed to wriggle out of the debris, Jafruddin could not. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The other three Nafis, Rajuddin and Pravin have received minor injuries.
Two arrested for robbery
Bhajanpura police have arrested two persons 8212; Gulfam, 22, and Naeem, 23 8212; both residents of Nand Nagri on charges of committing robbery at the Maujpur road in Adarsh Mohalla on Monday afternoon.
Two held while snatching chain
The Tilak Nagar police have arrested two persons 8212; Vikas Sharma, aged 20 and Karnail Singh, aged 25 8212; while decamping with a gold chain snatched from a woman named Chanda Gupta, aged 23, in front of the Gujral Nursing Home on Monday afternoon. The Tilak Nagar police have registered the case.
Body found
An unidentified body of a youth with bullet injuries in the head and chest was found in a DDA park in Shahdara area on Tuesday morning. The youth was suspected to have been murdered somewhere else and his body dumped in the park. The Shahdara police have registered a case of murder.
