BJP in Karnataka on Thursday said the decision to revoke President’s rule in the state paving way for formation of the party-led government is a ‘Diwali gift’ to people of the state.

“The wish of the people to have a popular government has been fulfilled,” state unit spokesperson S Suresh Kumar said in Bangalore.

“We will strive hard to provide a pro-people and development oriented government in the coming 19 months,” he said.
