Prohibitory orders under section 144 were imposed in Kota and Bundi as a precautionary measure.
The chances of violent protests in Bundi are rated high because of the sizeable presence of Gujjars there. Hindoli which witnessed large scale disturbances during the last agitation by Gujjars and where prominent leader of the community Kirori Singh Bainsla resides is also considered sensitive.
Acting Divisional Commissioner and Kota District Collector Abhay Kumar said that close vigil was being maintained in the region.
