The BCCI has asked Sahara India to return as sponsors of the Indian cricket team, president Jagmohan Dalmiya said here today.

‘‘In the best interest of sports BCCI has requested Sahara to reconsider their decision and return to cricket,’’ Dalmiya said.

‘‘It is not the question of money or getting an alternative sponsor, but it is the question of patronage and support that Sahara has offered that prompted BCCI to appeal,’’ he explained.
