A Mahapanchayat called by the Guliya Khap community was held in Dulina village in Jhajjar district today. It has decided to begin a dharna from tomorrow.

Villagers said that the protests will continue till November 20, during which they will demand the release of 10 people arrested in connection with the October 16 lynching of five Dalits and the mob fury which erupted yesterday. About 400 people from the community attended the meet.

They decided to block all roads leading out of Jhajjar towards Rewari, Dadri, Delhi and Rohtak from 8 am to 5 pm. They have also threatened that they would snatch the weapons of the police if those arrested were not released.
