The CRPF personnel were on patrol in Nandigram, as the troubled-torn areas remained peaceful on Wednesday after its "recapture" by the CPI(M).Three companies of the CRPF were on patrol in Nandigram-Tekhali Bridge and Nandigram-Sonachura routes, East Midnapore Superintendent of Police Satyeshwar Panda said.He said roads had been repaired on the Nandigram-Sonachura stretch, which was dug up at 10 or 12 places. Dug up roads at Satengabari had also been repaired.Panda said the decomposed body found yesterday at Kanthi on Nandigram's border with Khejuri has still not been identified.Social activist Medha Patkar distributed relief materials to around 3,000 to 4,000 evicted Bhumi Ucched Pratirodh Committee members sheltering at relief camps at College Math and School Math. She also held street corner meetings.Trinamul Congress MLA from Contai Subhendu Adhikari alleged that before the CRPF personnel arrived at Adhikarapara on Wednesday morning, armed CPI(M) supporters on motorbikes beat up a woman and looted houses during a show of strength.Several shops and business establishments remained closed in the area.
