Ben Affleck calls Jennifer Lopez ‘spectacular’ as they reunite for the first time since divorce at Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere

When asked about Jennifer’s performance in the film, Ben told Access Hollywood that, “I am enormously proud of Kiss of the Spider Woman. Bill Condon is brilliant, and this is a role which Jennifer is just so spectacular in. It’s exactly the kind of role that she has dreamed of playing her whole career. It’s hard to imagine she hasn’t had some opportunities. She really seized this thing with both her hands.” Lopez too gave Ben flowers while introducing the film and talked about how much she wanted to do a role like this.

She said, “Thank you so much. Thank you, everybody, for being here tonight. Thank you, Ben; this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity. I read the script, and if you know, I was in bed, and I was just floored. I was just like, ‘Could this be happening right now?’ I get to sing, I get to dance, and I get to act. I get to be an old-time Hollywood movie star.”

Directed by Bill Condon, the cast of the movie features Jennifer Lopez, Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, Josefina Scaglione, Bruno Bichir and Aline Mayagoitia.
