125 tyres stolen from godownAbout 125 truck tyres worth Rs. 9.50 lakh were reportedly stolen from a godown of Modi Continental on National Highway No. 8, opposite Dashrath village on Saturday night. According to police, tyres were kept in the godown located in the premises of a tobacco barn of Mahendrabhai Patel. Five to six persons came and loaded the tyres in a truck and drove away between 0.30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Police are investigating the case.House-breaksGoods worth Rs. 3,100 were stolen in two cases of house-breaks in Fatehgunj police station area on Saturday night, the police said. According to Annapurna Mahendra Pandit, a resident of Manorath Society on New Sama Road, a sum of Rs.1,000 stolen from the cupboard when he and his family had gone to sleep. Thieves entered the house by removing window grills. In another incident, a wrist watch and cash worth Rs. 2,100 were stolen from the Nizampura Kumbharwada house of Rahimbhai Pratapbhai Rao. Investigations are on.Burns deathOne Jugalkishore Dagga, (35), a resident of Punitnagar in Limbayat died of burns late on Saturday night in the Mahavir hospital. According to the Limbayat police, Dagga was returning home with a tin of kerosene when it spilled over his body. He then went home and attempted to light a gas stove when his clothes caught fire. He was since undergoing treatment at the hospital.
