MUMBAI, June 2: A panipuriwallah was stabbed to death by four unidentified men at Chembur in the early hours of Monday.

Bhaskar was accosted by four men armed with choppers and knives outside Rosy building. They stabbed him several times. Even as Bhaskar collapsed on the ground, the quartet escaped.

Bhaskar was rushed to the Rajawadi Hospital where he was declared dead before admission.

Youth killed

A youth was killed at Bhoiwada for not repaying a loan of Rs 800.Constable Ramesh Satpate who was on duty at Bhoiwada, was told that a man was lying injured at Parel Tank Road. Satpate immediately rushed to the spot and took the injured youth to the KEM hospital, where he was declared dead.On examining papers in his pocket, the youth’s identity was established as Ajit Kumar Das.

Later the R A K Marg police made investigations and arrested Laxman Beclam. Das had borrowed Rs 800 from Beclam which he failed to return. This led to an altercation during which an enraged Beclam stabbed Das.
