
Three murders reported in city
A 35-year-old woman was killed by her husband in the Ambedkar Nagar police station area on Thursday. According to the police, Mohan picked up a chopper and stabbed his wife. The couple did not get along as Mohan had been unemployed for the past four years.
In a separate case, a car driver was stabbed to death by six persons near his jhuggi in the Gandhinagar police station area on Wednesday night. The police say the incident occurred after Yogesh objected to the visits of three persons to a 30-year-old woman’s jhuggi in the area. In another incident, Kishan Lal (45) was stabbed to death and his son Ashok (24) injured by unknown assailants in a factory at Wazirpur on Thursday night. The police believe that the motive was some mutual enimity.
Students’ union leader shot at
Delhi University Students Union chief executive councillor and National Students Union of India (NSUI) activist Anil Solanki was shot at by five unidentified persons in Palam Gaon on Thursday night. Solanki suffered bullet wounds on his left leg. The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. when Solanki was returning home alongwith his brothers and friends in a Maruti Gypsy.
