CPM demands explanation

While condemning the terrorist attack on the Central Reserve Police Force CRPF camp in Rampur, which killed seven security personnel and a civilian, the CPI M on Tuesday sought an explanation as to 8220;what were the lapses which led to the terrorist squad entering the camp8221;. Noting that the terror attack 8220;has taken place despite prior intelligence alert of the possibility of a terrorist strike in the area8221;, the CPIM politburo said that 8220;there has to be an explanation of what were the lapses which led to the terrorist squad entering the camp after taking the guards by surprise.8221;

8220;This incident, coming in the wake of the bomb blasts earlier in Uttar Pradesh, should make the Central Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government gear up their intelligence and security systems,8221; the party said.
