Courses in industrial safety

PUNE, Nov 20: The International Institute of Fire Engineering (IIFE) will shortly be launching new courses in industrial safety and health, fire engineering, security and pollution management, making it the only institution where all these subjects will be dealt with available under one roof.

At a press conference held on Thursday it was announced that the institution would be operational from November 29 at Tara Heights near Wakdewadi. The courses are aimed at preparing young professionals to take up jobs like those of security officers, security inspectors, chief of fire department, establishment officers, personnel officers and air pollution control officers.

Counselling will be available at the institution premises and an entrance exam will be conducted on November 29.
