PUNE, MAY 30: Parag Ramakant Gaikwad 20 of Laxminagar slums in Parvati was arrested allegedly after he burgled the Deccan Gymkhana based 8220;Greetwell8221; shop and stole cosmetics estimated to be worth over Rs 2 lakh early on Saturday.
Police said Parag and his accomplice Ganesh Bharam entered the shop after breaking the glass pane. The duo ate several chocolates and sprayed several bottles of perfumes on themselves before escaping with the cosmetics, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ajit Patil said. They were transporting the stolen booty in an autorickshaw near Pulgate when a police patrol team smelled the perfumes and intercepted them. Ganesh escaped in the dark.
