Cops meet CBI officials, offer cooperation

After rejection of anticipatory bail plea by an Ahmedabad court, the three police officers who are in the vortex of an alleged police cover-up in the Bilkis Banu rape case, presented themselves before the CBI late tonight for questioning. They did so on their advocate’s advice Though they were not arrested, they were questioned for over two hours.

The then DSP, Limkheda, Raman Bhagora, Circle Inspector, Dahod, Ramsinh Bhabhor and PSI Idris Saiyad have been under the CBI scanner following the arrest of head constable Narpatsinh Patel. The three officers were present at the mass burial of massacre victims on the riverbed of a seasonal rivulet.
