CHANDIGARH, Jan 27: The city police have arrested a Haryana police constable for allegedly committing bigamy. According to police sources, constable Balwinder Singh8217;s wife Shaloo Singh had lodged a complaint in November that he married her while he was already married. The police said the constable surrendered in court today. The constable8217;s parents were arrested when the case was registered.
Meanwhile, Hallomajra resident Sunil has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a minor of the village.
According to police sources, Sunil alias Gurmeet alias Amit had been working at the shop of the girl8217;s father for the past few months. The two have been missing for three days, said the police. The police have registered a case.
