Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has got his priorities right. Refusing to talk about the tie-ups his party will have in the next general elections, he said his priority is to continue with development work in his state.
This politician has no desire to become the PM. ‘‘I am the longest serving CM of Andhra and intend to stick to the state,’’ he said during an interaction with the media. Naidu said he has been asked twice during the UF government’s tenure to accept prime ministership. ‘‘I have been concentrating on my state,’’ he added. Refusing to talk politics, he said the time to do so will be six months before the elections. —The reporter was in Hyderabad on a trip sponsored by the AP government.
