The Pradesh Election Committee (PEC) of the Congress today decided to renominate members of the dissolved Assembly for the coming elections, with a few exceptions. In all, the committee finalised names of candidates for about 70 out of the 182 seats.

For the remaining constituencies, the committee has prepared panels of two to five names. These panels will be referred to the party high command for a final decision.
