Voice against terrorism
With the background of the terror attacks on India, Modern College organised a speech by ACP Raghunathrao Khaire where he spoke on increasing bad habits among school about children and their relationship with the society. Dr Gajanan Ekbote, the president of Progressive Education Society said that the police officers had to lose their lives because of the lack of safety measures in our security, which needs to be improved. The event ended by paying homage to the martyrs of Mumbai attacks.

Yoga training camp
On the occasion of forth coming World Ayurvedic Meet, Bharti University8217;s College of Ayurved is organising a yoga training camp from December 26 To 31. Yoga experts Balmukund Singh and Manoj Kumar of Morarji Desai National Institute Of Yoga, Delhi will be the instructors. This camp will be held at Bharti Vidyapith English School ground. Bringing the preamble
The Pune Cantonment Board PCB received a distinctive gift by the Dr Babasaheb Sanskrutik Mahotsav Samiti on December 2. The Samiti gifted the Preamble of the Indian Constitution to the PCB. Its aim is to encourage awareness about the Constitution through schools, colleges and government offices. Brigadier RJ Sharma, CO SK Sardana and vice president of the PCB, Prasad Kedari accepted the gift and passed a resolution that a preamble will be read in cantonment schools everyday.

Say no To corruption
The state level Seminar on Customer Oriented Public Services was held at Pune Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship PIMSE, Camp. At the function, Mr. Arun Bhatia, retired IAS officer, said that youth should fight to stop corruption and should take initiatives in changing the leaders and bringing good people to the mainstream. Eminent personalities like A G Kulkarni, Mukund Mahajan and Nagesh Yadav also delivered lectures on the occasion.

Fine tunes
Amulya Jyoti Organisation is promoting Indian musical instrument8212; flute since 1989. Like every year, the birth anniversary of Late Pt. Pannalal Ghosh was celebrated in the presence of Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare. On the occasion, a 20-year old flute player, Samiksha Botre was awarded VenuVidya scholarship, which was started by Pandit Keshav Ginde, founder of Amulya Jyoti and also a famous flute player.
