HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 8: United States President Bill Clinton’s itinerary for his Indian visit may include a trip to Hyderabad.
Clinton, in reply to the invitation sent by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, said planning for his trip to India was still at a preliminary stage and assured that his staff would give every consideration to Naidu’s invitation.
Naidu, in his invitation, has requested Clinton to include a visit to Hyderabad during his forthcoming tour to India, an official release from the Chief Minister’s office said here today.
Clinton said he had heard impressive reports on the information technology industry in Hyderabad from members of the Congressional delegation led by representative Richard Gephardt.
Clinton’s letter further said he would appreciate the chance of seeing for himself Hyderabad’s unique synthesis of India’s ancient cultural traditions and its leading edge in technologies.
